Trifexis for Dogs is a chewable, once-monthly tablet that works to prevent heartworms, kill fleas, and control and treat whipworm, hookworm, and adult roundworm infections. Trifexis uses Spinosad to kill adult fleas, which prevents re-infestation by targeting nicotinic acetylcholine receptor activation in parasites. Trifexis protects against parasites and prevents future infestations of fleas in a once-monthly tablet.
